The Parliamentary Committee on Palliative and Compassionate Care (PCPCC) preoccupies itself with a series of distinct but related challenges, including:
            i) A critical nationwide shortage of expertise and material resources in the fields of palliative, hospice, and home care.
            ii) Suicide prevention, pain control and the implications of an ongoing mental health crisis;
            iii) Elder abuse and;
            iv) Disability issues.

Harold heading Parliamentary Delegation to Armenia September 5 - 10, 2010

Harold is heading a Parliamentary Delegation as Chair of the Canada - Armenia Friendship Group to Armenia from September 5 - 10, 2010. Harold will be traveling with fellow Parliamentarians and is looking forward to better understanding, not only the issues of the past but to grasp the current opportunities and challenges that face Armenia.
Harold has been honoured to serve as the Chair and to meet so many of the distinguished leaders of the Dispora. These experiences have broadened his horizons immensely and he looks forward to continuing positive relationships with Armenia and its people.

Representative attending Labour Day Classic at Ivor Wynne Stadium

The Labour Day Classic in Hamilton is the most celebrated game of the CFL season not named the Grey Cup. The entire Tiger-Cats organization is saluting the armed forces and recognizing the efforts and sacrifice of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Unit.

Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship FREDERICTON is the eighth of twelve Canadian Patrol Frigates delivered to the Canadian Navy. Boasting a complex Command and Control System combined with an impressive array of modern weaponry and sensors, this ship is considered to be one of the most advanced general-purpose frigates in the world. In spite of her world-class systems, the proper and safe operation of the ship continues to depend upon the professionalism of the officers, men and women who sail in her.

Harold attending Aldaview Services annual Pork Barbeque

The annual Pork BBQ from 11:30am - 1:30pm is Aldaview Services' annual fundfaiser. The funds raised provide Aldaview with the opportunity to do some extra things - like purchase learning materials for chapel, audio visual system for Connections, outdoor lawn chairs, renovate or install a fenced in sitting area to name a few.
Please consider attending the Pork BBQ at the New Hamburg Community Centre.
